Penny Lane is always buying - no collection is too big or too small, and nobody pays more than we do. We are currently in particular need of quality CDs (all categories, including classical), LPs, DVDs and Blu-ray. However, 45s, cassette tapes, video games and iPods are continually welcome.
Receive cash, or twice the cash value in store credit which may be redeemed whenever you want. We buy all categories of music and movies in any amount or combination of formats, and evaluate each item individually to determine its condition, popularity and current value. We will explain to you how much everything is worth, and pay you the best price. For high quality collections, we offer the additional option of our consignment program.

WHAT WE PAY
We must see your item(s) to offer a quote, so we are unable to offer prices over the phone. The following estimates are for media, artwork and packaging that are in very good condition or better. We may decline or offer less for items in lesser condition, low list price titles, or extremely common items that have little demand.
Premium Used CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray and video games:
We pay a higher percentage of the expected selling price for items that we expect to price at $9 or more. Premium items include deluxe editions, rare or collectible titles, and highly desirable mint-condition or sealed items. We'll generally pay one-third, or up to one-half in cash of what we expect to sell the item, depending on its demand and scarcity. As an example, for an LP that might sell for $100, we'll pay $35 to $50 in cash, or $70 to $100 in store credit. Additionally, our consignment program will pay even more.
Regular Used CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray and video games:
We pay 50 cents cash to $6.00 store credit for items in very good condition or better. Premium items (see above) will receive more, plus our consignment program will pay even higher.
Regular Vinyl - LPs and 45s:
We pay 25 cents cash to $5.00 store credit for items in very good condition or better. Premium items (see above) will receive more, plus our consignment program will pay even higher.
Used iPods:
We pay 50% of the selling price in cash, or 100% of the selling price in store credit. Please see our Used iPods page for detailed pricing on each model.
Cassette Tapes:
We are not aggressively buying cassettes, but we do purchase and provide them as a service to our customers. We generally pay 25 cents cash to $1.00 store credit for items in very good condition or better. This amount may decrease for common or less popular titles.
